Diagnosis: This x-ray shows a sternum fracture (arrows). While the patient history reflects a “mild blow to the chest,” sternum fractures are usually the result of high-energy trauma. In the urgent care setting, this patient should have an EKG and a chest x-ray and then be referred for CT to rule out cardiopulmonary or vascular injury.
