This month, Jeremy Morgan was named chief executive officer of American Family Care (AFC), succeeding Randy Johansen, who has retired. Additionally, David Prokupek was named to the AFC board of directors as executive chairman. His experience includes previous CEO positions with Ideal Image, Jackson Hewitt, and Smashburger. Outgoing CEO Johansen, who joined AFC in 1992 as chief operating officer, will continue with AFC as an advisor. He grew the organization from 6 clinics in Alabama to hundreds of clinics across 26 states.
Growth status: Since March 2024, AFC has been backed by private equity investor Lorient Capital, which has $1 billion in assets under management and focuses on healthcare investments.
