Montefiore Health System is now the latest partner to hook its wagon to Amazon One Medical. In 2026, the health system will host the first One Medical brick-and-mortar primary care offices in New York’s Westchester County, according to a press release. With the affiliation, One Medical can refer patients to Montefiore for follow-up or additional health services. Montefiore and One Medical plan to open additional new facilities over the next several years as well. Some other brands working with One Medical include Cleveland Clinic, Hackensack Meridian Health, and CommonSpirit. Virtual care memberships can be added on for Amazon Prime members or purchased online through One Medical. Major insurance plans are also accepted.
Who’s who: Montefiore currently operates 10 hospitals and 200 sites of care, serving about 3 million patients. Amazon bought One Medical for $3.9 billion in 2023, and the massive online retailer has been steadily planning growth through provider partnerships and chronic condition management programs.
