It’s only August, but some regions of the country have already had their back-to-school days. Others are just now seeing advertisements for blockbuster sales of school supplies. For some families, though, those promotions serve as a painful reminder that new supplies are out of reach for their children. Dayton (NV) Urgent Care has taken notice of this and is trying to ease the load by collecting community donations of backpacks and school supplies appropriate for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Recognizing that the school day is only part of a child’s life, they’re also accepting hygiene products, clothes, shoes, and socks until the beginning of September. In promoting this campaign, Dayton Urgent Care introduces itself as a community-minded business willing to devote its human resources to helping others. By necessity, in order for generous residents to drop off their donations, they’re listing their address, phone number, and hours of operation. Both donors and recipients now know when and where to find a walk-in healthcare facility that cares about their community.
