When researchers at Entrepreneur magazine crunched the data in its Entrepreneur360 Performance Index, urgent care provider American Family Care (AFC) emerged as one of the top entrepreneurial companies in the U.S. The magazine cites AFC’s growth, sustainability, and ability to achieve lasting success for its inclusion in the list.
AFC founder and CEO Bruce Irwin, MD says an entrepreneurial spirit is a “key facet” of the company, which tries to balance accelerating growth with a quest for 100 percent patient satisfaction. They come close, too; AFC says its complaint rate is less than .50 per 1,000 patient visits. Having sprung from a single location in 1982 to more than 150 clinics today, its growth speaks for itself.
The Entrepreneur360 Performance Index collects over 250 pieces of data from hundreds of participating companies across the country, focusing on growth drivers and challenges, goal setting, resource allocations, and reward systems.
