Urgent care operators probably hear the word contracting and think immediately of their dealings with payers. As such, they’re probably most familiar and comfortable with the dynamics of such agreements. What about the host of other legally binding agreements that are part and parcel of any business, though? The Urgent Care Association has engaged Kayla McCann Marty and Justin Knapp of McGuire Woods LLP to lead a webinar on this very topic. Non-Payer Business Contracting: Get to Know What You Don’t Know is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 1 pm, Central. The speakers plan to cover how to create a strategic framework for reviewing a contract; identify key legal issues to consider when analyzing a contract; develop a process for assessing risks inherent in non-payer contracts; establish a plan for revising contracts and seeking legal counsel; and construct a process for ensuring review and execution of contracts. Cost is $50 for UCA members or $100 for nonmembers. For more information or to register, click here. (UCA advises that this webinar is required as part of the CUCMP program and fulfills the General Operations Domain: Contracts & Commitments while providing learners the opportunity to earn 1 live CUCMP credit.)
